Color is a cornerstone of exciting painting and in this two-day oil painting workshop, you will learn the the ins and outs of this vital topic.
From setting up your painting, to seeing and emphasizing inherent color schemes, to painting the light effect, you will learn how to make color work to make your paintings captivating.
This weekend workshop includes:
- slide presentation/lecture
- demonstration
- exercises to illustrate key ideas
- painting time to explore and reinforce learning
- easel-side instruction
- group critique
Dates are Saturday, June 2 & Sunday, June 3 from 10 am - 5 pm at ArtSpace Herndon.

 Profusion, oil, 30"x30"
I don't know how the florist did it, but they secured 20 peonies for me to paint in midst of winter. What glorious inspiration they are -- and with a pleasant, sweet smell. I experimented with the pale blue-green background, a great foil for the pinks and reds.
